Experts in AI forensics have analyzed the recording and concluded that it is likely AI-generated and does not represent an actual statement by Trump.

Recent discussions on social media have suggested that former President Donald Trump initiated visa restrictions targeting Nigerians who express critical views of the United States online. However, these claims are not substantiated by credible evidence.

An audio clip circulating online purports to feature Trump announcing visa limitations for Nigerian professionals, including doctors, nurses, and engineers, based on their social media activity. Experts in AI forensics have analyzed the recording and concluded that it is likely AI-generated and does not represent an actual statement by Trump.

Furthermore, during Trump's administration, the U.S. did implement visa restrictions affecting Nigeria. In early 2020, the administration announced that Nigeria, along with other countries, would face new immigration restrictions due to concerns about information sharing and national security. These measures primarily targeted immigrant visas and did not specifically address individuals' social media content.

It's important to distinguish between misinformation and verified policy actions. The spread of unverified claims can lead to unnecessary confusion and concern. For accurate information on U.S. immigration policies, it's advisable to consult official sources such as the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
